A suspicious package that included written anti-Semitic comments was discovered by employees in front the Chanel store on the 400 block of N. Rodeo Drive around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The discovery prompted police to evacuate the store and surrounding area while the Los Angeles County Sheriff?s Department Bomb Squad responded to the location, investigated the package and rendered it safe, according to a press release issued by the BHPD.

"Detectives from the Beverly Hills Police Department are currently on scene conducting an investigation, and the area around Chanel has reopened for vehicular and pedestrian traffic," the press release said. "At this time, there is no suspect information and it is unknown why the package was left in the area."
