Mentors and department co-workers enjoy spending time with students at many of the activities.What you will do: Intern will be contributing to the testing and evaluation of a high-energy laser target board and associated software algorithms. This will include data collection in a laboratory and subsequent data reduction and analysis of target board performance. Potential additional tasks may include incorporation of additional algorithms or refinements of data acquisition software. What you will need:Min Requirements Primary requirement is an eagerness to learn and a willingness to dive in and immerse in the project. Intern will receive mentoring but needs to be motivated and know when to ask for help. Project involves the use of MatLab programming as well as LabView. Background in laboratory mechanical assembly is also a highly desirable skill. Knowledge of high-energy laser diagnostics is desirable but not required. Educational RequirementsCompleted at least 1 semester of Senior year studies toward Bachelor-Ts degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, or Computer), or Physical Sciences or related disciplines.
